Description
Class B engineering bricks are suitable for use both above and below ground. They are often used in manholes, foundations and above ground walling.
In BS3921, class B engineering bricks are classed as having a minimum compressive strength and maximum water absorption not falling below 50n/mm2 – 7%.
Clay engineeing bricks are defined as BS6100 ‘glossary of building and civil engineering’ terms as ‘brick sized clay units having a dense and strong semi vitreous body, conforming to defined limits of water absorption and compressive strength. **PICTURE IS FOR ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY.
